Le Petit Moulin
Welcome to our website and we hope you will find it both helpful and informative.
Please browse through all the sections as this will give you an idea of what we have achieved to date, and give you useful information on our beautiful Millhouse in the sunny Charente Maritime.
The Photo Gallery has many pictures of our facilities, and the before and after picture sections in the gallery will show you how the Mill was before, during and after the extensive renovations.
The team old and new sections have the family, friends and artisans that have made it all happen and without them, it simply wouldn't be the place it is today, and our special thanks go out to them all.
Hopefully the last page you visit will be the booking section and here you can contact us directly.
Please leave your e mail address and contact details in the boxes provided and we can get right back to you.
We have created a slideshow of the Mill which gives the feeling of actually being there so click here to see the Powerpoint presentation we hope you enjoy it.

Set in its own lovely secluded grounds, Le Petit Moulin provides exceptional accommodation in the heart of the Charente Maritime countryside.
The relaxing surroundings combine with the charm of this historic Mill to provide you with the perfect way to unwind.

Originally a functioning Watermill producing flour (the wheel is intact and still turns plus the original breadoven is till in place) it has undergone major restoration and refurbishment by the enthusiastic owner and his dedicated team.

The accommodation has large reception rooms with beautifully furnished interiors and outside are wide sun and shaded terraces with extensive grounds and a large salt water, heated swimming pool plus BBQ area.

Le Petit Moulin has a light, spacious interior and sleeps up to 20 people.
Accommodation includes a large fully equipped kitchen with American Fridge, dishwasher, large 5 ring hob, microwave and conventional oven.
The kitchen opens to the front and rear of the Mill allowing everyone to eat outside in sun or shade and there is casual dining space in the kitchen as well as a large formal dining room.

The main lounge or 'Salon' has a large open stone Chrentaise fireplace and is well equipped with TV/SATELLITE/DVD and Ipod/MP3 friendly MUSIC SYSTEM.
There is also a second large lounge area at the entrance foyer and the 1st floor landing area library provides even more space for reading and relaxing.
Meals are taken in the large dining room which has the Millstream running through it and is a lovely feature and a great talking point while eating and drinking the fabulous local wines.
There are 8 double bedrooms, all of which have lovely en-suite bathrooms and there is a downstairs WC/shower just off the dining room which doubles as the bathroom for the 'Garden room'bedroom.
The garden room is effectively the 9th bedroom and has a queensize sofabed.
There is another queensize sofabed in the largest bedroom in the west wing and this room is perfect for teenagers that like to share.
The house lends itself to different size parties and the East wing of the Mill can be closed off for smaller groups if required and the downstairs reception rooms are exactly the same whether you book 4 or 8 bedrooms.

Close to the historic towns of Saintes,Cognac,Taillebourg and St Jean D'Angely and only 40 minutes from lovely beaches in the area, Le Petit Moulin is in a wonderful location.

With easy access to Angoulême the capital of the Charente and the major train stations, international airports, and only 4 hours from St Malo ferry port, Le Petit Moulin is the ideal setting for a perfect stay.

Here are some of the nice things our previous guests have said

I cannot enough express our satisfaction, amazement and I’d go as far as to say euphoria, about our experience there. It is an overwhelmingly beautiful house and grounds and it is fitted out to the highest of standards with clear loving attention to detail.

We have had a wonderful stay here at Le Petit Moulin. It was so much better than expected. It’s a beautiful house in an idylllic location. The kids have enjoyed the pool and play toys in the back garden. Your gardens are so beautiful too as well. We hope to be back some day.
